Moon Magick Grimoire
Full Moon Quick Ritual
A simple 5-minute ritual for clarity, release, and charging your intentions.Overview
The Full Moon is traditionally used in modern witchcraft for illumination, reflection, release, gratitude, energetic clearing, and charging tools or intentions. Astronomically, the Full Moon occurs when the Moon is opposite the Sun from Earth’s perspective, making the near side appear fully illuminated. This quick ritual is designed for a simple, accessible practice focused on clarity, release, and consciously charging intentions. It is symbolic and spiritual, not a promise of guaranteed outcomes.
Best For
- Clarity
- Releasing stagnant energy
- Charging intentions

- Reflection
- Gratitude
- Letting go of what no longer supports growth
What You Need
- White candle
- Clear quartz
- Moonstone or selenite
- Rosemary
- Lavender
- Small bowl or dish
- Paper and pen
5-Minute Ritual
- 1Take one deep breath, clear your mind, and lightly pass the rosemary, lavender, or your hands over the space with intention. Keep this simple; the point is to mark the beginning of the ritual.
- 2Light the white candle safely. Invite the Full Moon’s energy into your ritual and focus on what you want illuminated.
- 3Hold clear quartz with moonstone or selenite. Breathe deeply and think about what you want to release, clarify, or call in.
- 4Write one release or intention on paper. Say aloud: “Under the Full Moon, I release what dims my light and welcome what helps me grow.”
- 5Place your paper beneath the bowl, thank the Moon, and sit in stillness for a final moment. When finished, extinguish the candle safely.
Optional Add-Ons
- Anoint the candle with a ritual oil that is safe for candle use.
- Add rose petals or mugwort to the bowl.
- Charge moon water nearby.
- Place a favorite charm, key, or piece of jewelry beside the bowl as a symbolic reminder of your intention.
Closing Reflection
A brighter you lives in the things you choose to release.
Safety & Practical Notes
Use a fire-safe candle holder and never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep herbs, paper, oils, sleeves, hair, pets, and curtains away from flame. Do not burn herbs indoors if smoke is unsafe for your space, lungs, pets, or household. If using oils, apply only a small amount to the outside of the candle and keep oil away from the wick and flame. Do not ingest herbs or crystals as part of this ritual. Wash hands after handling herbs if you have sensitive skin.
