Charcoal Disk

OVERVIEW

A charcoal disk allows loose botanicals and resins to be burned without needing the incense mixture itself to stay lit.

Once ignited, the charcoal becomes extremely hot and provides a heated surface onto which small amounts of incense may be placed.

BASIC USE

Place the charcoal in a properly designed heat-safe incense burner.

Use tongs where appropriate.

Ignite according to the charcoal manufacturer's directions.

Allow the disk to heat fully.

Add only a small amount of loose incense at a time.

A little is usually enough.

Add more only after determining how much smoke and fragrance is comfortable in the space.

CRITICAL SAFETY

Charcoal becomes extremely hot.

Use only on a stable, noncombustible, heat-resistant setup.

Never hold a burning charcoal disk by hand.

Do not place hot charcoal directly on furniture, wood, glass not rated for thermal shock, plastic, paper, or other vulnerable surfaces.

Use ventilation.

Keep away from children and pets.

Never leave burning charcoal unattended.

Allow it to become completely cold before disposal.

Burning charcoal and incense produces combustion gases and airborne particulate matter.

This product is for incense use in an appropriate burner, not for heating enclosed spaces.
