Fear of Change

Exploring what keeps us clinging to the familiar, even when we are ready for more.

Fear of change is the discomfort, anxiety, resistance, or avoidance that can arise when familiar circumstances are replaced by uncertainty. Change may involve real risk or loss, but fear can also appear when the change is wanted, healthy, or necessary. Psychological research on intolerance of uncertainty helps explain why unfamiliar outcomes can feel threatening: people differ in how strongly they react to missing information, unpredictability, and the inability to know exactly what will happen next.

Explore what keeps us clinging to the familiar, even when we are ready for more.

I choose growth over comfort. I trust myself to adjust, adapt, and rise into what is next.
